Steamboat + BBQ + Dim Sum

Pak John Steamboat & Yong Tao Foo is a buffet-styled steamboat restaurant that strategically located at eCurve's lower ground floor. Being a halal steamboat restaurant, Pak John as well provides us the opportunity to grill our food instead.

The restaurant is occupying a big area in the mall, but it was still a bit troublesome for us to walk around prior to the narrow walkways between the tables. 

Our first thought on a halal steamboat restaurant was - probably not much choices we could have. Surprisingly, Pak John provides more varieties of food than what we have expected of. Most importantly, the food is fresh and well marinated.

Not only the food, beverages are available in more varieties too. For instance, the iced lemon tea, orange juice, as well as the coffee. ;D

We super love the grill pot that placed in the middle of the steamboat pot. The meat, especially the marinated beef and lamb turn out very delicious after being grilled. This is probably because they have been well seasoned.

Upon waiting for the food to be cooked in the pot, you can have their readymade food and dim sum. Readymade food including the fried stuff, fried noodles and fried rice. Disappointing part is the dim sum, tastes bad. =X

Besides that, you can order roti canai or burger from the counter as well.

Aftermeal dessert is always a compulsory part after the steamboat. =P 

Normally, steamboat restaurants provide only ice cream, but Pak John is the exception. 

1) Ice cream is available in sticks, or to be obtained from the machine.

2) There is chocolate fountain here! hehe...

Chocolate sauce was a bit too watery.

3) Waffles can be ordered from the kitchen too.

We were creative enough to DIY our waffles
with the ice cream & chocolate sauce hehe..

Afterall, it was a nice experience visiting Pak John for the very first time. 

Reasons for us to come back again: -

1) Food are fresh & in wide range.

2) Meats are well marinated.

3) Despite halal (no pork stuff), they have varities of chicken, beef, lamb...

     and the special one - duck breast.

4) Cheese seafood tofu is awesome!

5) Grilled stuff is nice! (esp the meats and the abalones).

6) Varieties of desserts & beverages.

7) Reasonable price for the 3-in-1 steamboat+BBQ+dimsum buffet.

8) Air-conditioned, comfortable environment, no more sweating in a steamboat 

    session. =P
