Cafe De Vie @ Lintas Plaza

What is mille crepe?

Mille crepe is a cake made of many layers of thin crepes, that are comprised of flour. Anyone has traveled to Malacca before should have tried the famous one from Nadeje. Well, KK peeps don't have to imagine & dream of it anymore, as now there is a mille crepe shop available in Lintas (located around Moo Cow). It has further expanded to Metrotown as well (2nd branch).

Cafe De Vie has a few choices of normal cake, and the remaining are majority the mille crepes selling @ RM11.90 per slice (different flavour has different pricing). But this is not the only food item contained in the menu. It sells some Western food, snacks, soup, and other common desserts too.
Business Hour: 12pm-10pm daily

Cafe De Vie is slightly packed as it is not spacious enough to occupy more customers during peak hours (probably after dinner hour). The whole shop looks rather special with its seen-able bricked wall & wood concept of design.

All the mille crepes are displayed beside the counter, depends on availability. There are special flavours like cempedak, rum & raisins, pandan, etc. The nice ones usually sold out fast, thereof u need to go earlier to get them.
P/S: I heard that the oreo's cookies & cream flavour is delicious, but it is selling fast! =O

The menu is easily understood, and the food are of reasonable price range.
What food are they offering besides than the mille crepes?
1. Pumpkin/mushroom/onion/cool soup selling @ RM6.50 each.
2. Cheese baked cream sauce rice/spiral @ RM15.90.
3. Western meal such as sirloin steak, fish steak, etc..
4. Pastas such as squid ink spaghetti, black truffle pate pasta, etc..
5. Snacks such as BBQ chicken wings, fries, etc..
6. Desserts such as cream brulee with ice cream, mango ice, etc..

Cream sauce cheese baked rice with smoked turkey ham.
This is delicious in the sense that it is super cheesy but u won't get satiated of it.
Cheesy lover should love this! ;D
Fish steak with capsicum sauce.
The fish is grilled nicely matching with the capsicum sauce
which tastes like the bell pepper. Many ppl dislike green pepper
but this sauce tastes quite special and not bad instead.
Seafood pasta in tomato sauce.
Spaghetti cooked in tomato sauce with
olives, prawns, and sotong.

For their mille crepes, Cafe De Vie offers quite big varieties of flavours.
Oops! First try was taking away due to the overcrowded customers
who were waiting for their seats. =X
The green tea mille crepe (upper one) tastes very 'green-tea-ish'.
The french vanila mille crepe (lower one) has simple taste
which enables us to barely focus on enjoying its super thin layers of crepes.
Blueberry Cheese mille crepe was my favourite amongst those I've tried.
The blueberry's slight sour taste is nice to be eaten with the thousand layers.
P/S: The most mouth watering part is the cream at the upper edge.
It is not normal fresh cream, it is
cheese cream.
Cheesy Cheese mille crepe is just like how it is named.
Cheesy-taste mille crepe actually tastes quite similar with the Nadeje's original one.
Mango mille crepe is simply a good choice for those who love mango.
However, the mango taste was rather strong at the top part only.
Strawberry mille crepe looks nice, but it is not special for me.
It is just a normal crepe with some strawberries.

As having the mille crepes making us too full, fruit tea is a better option to help digesting our food haha.. xP
We ordered a teapot of mix berries @ RM14 (refillable).
Hmm to be frank, it tasted abit like my kid's time cough medicine. =X
Otherwise, there are fruit juice blended freshly, with different healthy functions written. This is a healthy option and i like that the juices are not sweet.
Dragon fruit + Lemon + Yoghurt -
Helps to reduce stress.
Papaya + milk -
Helps in beauty.

At our first glance on the menu, we felt that its mille crepes are selling at slight expensive price. But after giving them a try, we were willing to pay for their hardwork in producing such tiny layers of crepes as this might require specific competences and diligence to a certain extent hehe..

Overall, Cafe De Vie's mille crepes are considered nice as its layers of crepes are quite thin. But if they are to be compared with the famous Nadeje's ones, I think that Nadeje's ones are softer and could melt faster in the mouth. In addition, Cafe De Vie's mille crepes' skin part is abit rough and hard; it would be perfect if its softness does not vary too much with its layered crepes. =D Nonetheless, its food tastes delicious and I would prefer if there are more choices added hehe..

So, now mille crepe could be an additional choice for KK peeps who have bored of having normal cakes for their birthday occasion hehe..
Whee, we celebrated Annabel's sweet birthday here!
(hehe sorry for posting this one month late..)

And here comes our group picture with the birthday girl!

Oyster Bar @ Warisan Square

Ostrea, Ostreum, Oyster..

Oyster has been consumed by human for its nutrition in zinc, iron, calcium, and selenium, as well as vitamin A & B. It is edible by cooked or raw, but some might endure with sicknesses such as diarrhea or food poisoning after eating it in raw, as oyster contains certain parasites and bacteria. Whoever who loves to eat oyster, you can't miss this place - Oyster Bar in Warisan Square! ;D

Oyster Bar is located in Warisan Square, near the Big Apple Donuts & Coffee. It is a bar & restaurant serving oysters, western food, and some alcoholic drinks.
The main entrance
Bluish Oyster Bar..

Oyster Bar has a classy atmosphere, with soothing music. It is definitely a perfect place for working adults to end their hustling day.
Having spotted that there are electronic darts, but noone was playing. ;O
There is a live band as well, probably after 8.30pm.

Now, let's have a glance at their menu - 'what do they have?'
1. Oysters (raw, cooked, baked, etc.)
2.  Mushroom soup and salad (caesar or garden)
3. Main course (basically all Western food)
4. Drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic)

For those who love to have their oysters, with beer alongside, there is a daily happy hour promotion starting from 3pm to 8pm

So, having only a few selections for their main course, we chose all the chops. & yeah, we ordered normal drinks only, we hardly drink beer haha! (No alcoholic drinks for drivers also =P)
Black pepper chicken chop
Lamb chop
Mixed grilled, with a sausage! xD

P/S: U can ask for the mint sauce

hmm I did & it tasted sour than what I normally had. ;O

Iced lemon tea
Iced milk tea
Above all, their food are average only, chops are less of meat but lots of fats! Nevertheless, they do not taste too bad.. ;)

Of course, Oyster Bar is meant to serve oysters. How can we not having some oyster in an Oyster Bar? xP
Half dozen of wild live oyster for only RM16.90.
The oysters are considered fresh, nice to be eaten with tobasco sauce! =)

Cam-whoring moment.. Well, these guys are potential posers huh.. ¬.¬
Bonny & Tommy
I said hello to Oyster Bar! x)

Lady BonBon @ Lintas Plaza

A piece of cake, please?

Lady BonBon is a pastry shop located beside 水研色 in Lintas Plaza, selling varieties of cakes, macarons, and cookies.

The entire shop has simple decoration, yet cozy with its clean and neat environment. It has a homey atmosphere to make us feel comfy to enjoy our cakes & macarons here.
The place is spacious with only a few tables and seats.
Simple, yet nice! ;)

Lady BonBon is selling their sliced cakes @ RM7.90 each & macarons @ RM2.80 each. U can also buy the whole cake and takeaway for any birthday function.
Noticing that their baking area is just behind the counter,
all the cakes are freshly made there! =D
They give their cakes cool names! ;D

Cassata, Bonbon-misu, Cowboy's Secret, or even Ms Hazel are the cool names given to the cakes. Their cakes are fresh, not too sweet, and made of authentic ingredients.
Ms Hazel - Yummy hazelnut chocolate cake with crunchy base,
not too greasy and not too sweet!
New York cheesecake -
Rich baked cheesecake with delicious cookie base.
Their cheese is nice with slight lemon taste! ;)
Red velvet cake - Red velvet sponge cake with cheesy cream
filling in between the layers, suitable for those prefer lighter taste.
You might find that their cakes are made of sufficient, genuine ingredients, with lighter taste but right enough. In addition, they are not sweet and the crunchy parts are quite delicious.

Upper left was mango mambo, this is however a disappointment as their mango tasted artificial.

Upper right's Bonbon-misu is tiramisu sponge cake soaked in coffee, with cheese layers.

Lower right's Cowboy's Secret is definitely suitable for chocholate lovers! Otherwise, u could try the Royal Truffle, a chocholate cake with rich Belgius chocolate truffle.
Other flavours that yet to be tried including the Cassata - Biscuit-based cake with dark chocolate, white chocolate & strawberry cheese, with nuts & fruits; the Peanut-Butter Yumm - Chocolate cake with layers of chocolate and peanut butter; AND the Carrot cheesecake.

For their macarons, this was my first time having macarons that are not over sweetness. Their macarons have perfect texture with crunchy outer layer and sweet fillings. I would highly recommend this for macarons lovers! ;D
Raspberry, green tea & hazelnut macarons.
Besides these, there are other flavours such as chocolate, passion fruit, and salted caramel. I would love to try the salted caramel macaron next time.

Lady BonBon would be a perferred choice for those who do not like to eat cakes that are too sweet. Moreover, they serve nice macarons. The only thing that is missing here is they do not serve drinks. Previously, Lady BonBon was combined with Tea Avenue and u could order the drinks from there, however now it has ceased operation. Therefore, in my opinion, it would be perfect if there is nice tea serving along with these cakes hehe..
It was a wonderful chitchatting session with Yeeling & Chuitin here,
with the accompaniment of nice cakes & macarons, & the comfy environment.
