Wondermilk @ Damansara Uptown

Wonder-milk, wonder-cupcakes..

Wondermilk has been operated in Damansara Uptown for years, yet many of us did not know about it, as many of my friends had been asking me 'huh, wasn't it in Publika only?' xD

In order to solve everyone's curiosity, Wondermilk is located behind the row of Baskin-Robbins & Chatime; and it is hiddenly placed around the workshops, therefore less of us would frequently passby there.

The branch here is nicer &  more relaxing for me as it has warm environment with all the spacious & comfy seats for us to spend our weekends here.
wifi pw: drinkmoremilk
xD
Sweet & thoughtful corner for kids
to have some 'masak-masak' fun here! ;D

Wondermilk is famous for its cupcakes & milk. Nevertheless, it sells meals like sandwiches, pasta, and burgers as well. Due to my every visit to here was just to satisfy my sudden crave for cupcakes, I have never got to try the mains. =X

Besides that, you could buy some biscuits & candies available in Wondermilk..

There's the whole-sized cake displayed & available for sale as well. Such colourful & loving cakes would be suitable for parents to prepare for their sweet princesses' birthday occasion!

Well, let have a look at what Wondermilk has for the cupcakes:
Wondermilk has many choices for their cupcakes from butter cake type,
icing one, super chocolate-ish type, as well as with the caffeine's one.

For chocolate lovers, Wondermilk has pretty nice chocolate cupcakes which could fulfill your high requirement for a cupcake with full chocolate fillings. Others than that, you could get some lighter flavours like red velvet, John lemon & cik rose here, which are delicious but less greasy. For my personal preference, I love their red velvet, John lemon & salted caramel ones.
My favourite ROXY RED VELVET!

These are the red velvet, cik rose, carrot & salted caramel cupcakes.
Why do I love the red velvet & salted caramel ones?
1. Red velvet cupcake is nice with its topped sour cream.
2. Salted caramel cupcake has well-mixed sweet & salty taste
which complements each other to become more delicious!

Oops, when comes to food, I have always forgotten to mention the price first.
Haha, for your information, the price is as followed:

Besides than having nice cupcakes here, I would always love to have a cup of milk. There is a wider range of selections for their milk, from the flavours of vanilla, toffee, macadamia, banana, caramel, Irish cream, and butterscotch. I think they are just adding the flavour essence into the milk, but I still love it hehe..

For those who dislike milk, you do not need to be overwhelmed as Wondermilk offers other drinks like coffee, tea, ice soda, cocoa, and ice soda. =)
This is a cup of Wondermilk's banana milk!
'ba-ba-ba ba-ba-na-na... teeheehe!' ;P

For a perfect combo, Wondermilk has introduced the new
cupcake + milk set RM10 each.
Choose 1 cupcake & 1 wondermilk from the short list..
John Lemon + Banana milk
&
Chocolate marshmallow + Irish cream milk

In addition, Wondermilk has also newly added the petite cupcakes into their menu. However, they are only sold in a box of 36 pieces @ RM70 (readymade & preordered only). For more details, please visit their official website:

So, here's the Wonder-lovers!.....  "We just love to hang out around to eat..!" =P
Me with my favourite red velvet cupcake! xD
Ivy with her emo face! xP
Ah Pang is happy when comes to food! ;P

Hehe.. for a sweet reminder, you could purchase the candles come with all the 'Happy Birthday' respective words here & a box of 13 cupcakes for your best friend's birthday ocassion!
This was what my lovely friends did for me 2 years ago!

For your better knowledge, I would briefly share the reasons

why I love Wondermilk hehe.. :

1. Nice cupcakes, which are not too sweet.
2. Comfy environment.
3. Many choices for cupcakes.
4. Nice milk, as they are using the 'Farmhouse' brand if I'm not mistaken! xD

Having cupcakes & milk here would make me feel blessed
as I know that I'm a happy girl! ;)

Coconut House @ Jaya One

Read wood, Real food, Feel good..

Coconut House is an Italian restaurant relocated at Jaya One, which I believe that blog readers would find out that it has changed to few locations before and eventually resumed its business here, by the owner who is actually a successful writer cum editor, Mr Zhuang Ruo.
There's few tables setting outside..

What are so special about Coconut House in my first impression?

1. Food are cooked with the woodfire.
2. Their food tastes original, fresh, and homemade (thereof, shud be healthier with lesser ajinomoto; for those who prefer stronger taste might dislike).
3. More food choices & able to get some different food here (ie. hardly seen in other restaurants, like pizza with fruits or coconut? =O).
4. They have magazines sharing the same name - 'Coconut House'. But.. I think they are irrelevant! xD

Well, had some brief introduction for this dining place, let's move our attention to its ambiance and environment. Locating at Jaya One might seem to be quieter, but I actually love it as I like the relaxing and peaceful environment of the restaurant. Coconut House looks retro with all the woods decoration & you could feel closer to the nature with their plant decorations too hehe..
There's rack storing all the red wines.
The menu contains of the set lunch, a la carte items, soups & salads, beverages, desserts, and the set dinner. Basically, it is worthwhile to have the set meals as they come along with a drinks and even cheaper than having them in a la carte.

In addition, Soup/Salad of the day could be added on to the set lunch with an additional price of RM 6.90.
Minestrone soup with beans, onion, potato, celery, carrot, tomatoes, Zucchini & peas.
This is totally a soup with all the healthy greens & it tastes great for tomato lovers.
Sausage tomato bean soup with homemade Italian sausage, Basil, tomatoes &
chickpea. Chickpeas are a lot that u could get it in every sip.

For the caesars salad, it was a disappointment as it was too salty. This is probably due to the Worcestershir sauce used as its salad dressing, I would prefer if it is watering down a bit.
Caesars salad with romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, crouton, parmesan,
egg, anchovies & Worcestershir sauce.

For small plate of appetiser or snacks before your mains, you could have:
Roasted mushroom with garlic, breadcrumbs, red chilli, Italian parsley & parmesan.
Mushroom is well roasted and tastes better with all the accompaniments.
Potatoes with rosemary
For the main meals, set lunch is considerably cheap as you can get the cheapest set lunch @ RM7.90 only - the Zucchini Frittata. Sandwiches, pasta and pizza are available at reasonable price too. They taste good & even though they are priced lower, the quality did not subsequently lowered down. ;D
Zucchini Frittata is an Italy's version of open-face omelette,
comprises of egg, zucchini, basil & tomatoes; served with house salad.
Lemon & rosemary chicken fettuccine is the pasta comes along with the
chicken breast marinated with rosemary, fresh lemon juice & Italian parsley.
This is something tastes like carbonara.
Penne with Italian sausage is made up of red onion, tomato,
homemade Italian pork sausage, rosemary, whipping cream & parmesan.
The main attention of this pasta is the homemade Italian pork sausage,
fresh, juicy, but a bit salty.
Mushroom spaghetti with a lot of mushroom, tomato,
onion, rosemary & whipping cream.
Going coconut pizza is a pizza with no tomato sauce,
but with mozzarella, coconut kernel & gula melaka.
This is special in the sense that it was my first time having coconut kernel
on a pizza, not bad but a bit dry for me to finish it all.
Rocket & Italian sausage pizza consists of tomato sauce, Italian sausage,
basil, olive, mozzarella, and rocket. P/S: We hate rocket! ><
This pizza is ok, but we prefer normal pizza crust with nicer smell after oven-ed,
maybe it is done on the woodfire, therefore can't get normal pizza crust kind of result.
Pork chop with Gorgonzola sauce is an oven roasted pork chop made with Gorgonzola
sauce, parmesan, cream & white wine. The sauce is nice as it is creamy & cheesy
(tastes like blue cheese) while the pork chop is well roasted up to a chewy level.

Drinks like green tea, lemon tea, honey lemon comes together with the set meal; otherwise you could grab some other Coconut House's signature drinks like coconut blended and orange lemon lime from the menu.
Hot green tea
Iced lemon tea
Iced honey lemon
Coconut blended
Orange lemon lime

A satisfactory meal doesn't seem complete without a dessert. And so, Coconut House has desserts like cakes, tiramisu, pudding, etc.. Reading other blogs' recommendation has tempted me to try the baked pear with red wine, but all the time I went there it was unavailable. =( So, i got to choose from those they have ready-made.
Ricotta cheese cake is similarly baked with the woodfire oven.
It is a cheese cake that is not so greasy, but its cheese smells terrible for me. =X
Tiramisu is perfect with its marscapone cheese, kahlua, sponge finger & espresso.
This is suitable for those who prefer tiramisu in a more moisture texture.
Having few times dining experience at Coconut House, it is not bad as they serve nice food, but not to say very best. It has a cozy and comfortable environment, with friendly waitresses and most importantly, the food are more of a healthier concept as they are roasted with the woodfire and freshly homemade.

NAMOO on the park @ Publika

N+a+m+o+o = 'TREE'

Namoo on the park is a Korean dessert cafe & bistro located at Publika. Well, Malaysians are mostly having less interest on over-traditional Korean food. But.. How about a Korean fusion restaurant, like NAMOO? =D

Namoo combines Korean food with some Western & Chinese concepts, turns out to be a more interesting cafe that serves Korean fusion food. Therefore, it is deemed to be an authentic Korean cafe that twists all the modern concepts into a single one. As a modernised Korean cafe, Namoo has simple but nice interior design & a small outdoor playground, as what it was named - Namoo, 'on the park'!

To be more thoughtful, Namoo's tables were designed specifically for every lady customer's convenience. ;)
"There is a hook under the table to hang your bag!!" =)
*felt warmhearted* hehe..

Their menu is simple & 'user friendly' with kind elaboration for every single food. The price is also reasonable for such a nice ambiance cafe & bistro.

Basically, Namoo serves rice, noodles, pasta, taco or burger & rice burger for their main. Korean spiced cabbages - Kimchee is served along with all the dishes & I personally love it so much teehee..

If u are looking for a meal with rice, bibimbap would be a good one! For a better sense of texture, u can go for the hot stone bibimbap! xD
Mix everything with the rice &
u will feel the delicious of every stuff in one bite!

To try something a little bit special, Namoo recommends this white cream omuto rice with chicken/prawnThis is an omelette rice serving with their special white cream that tastes rather nice than what we expected! Hehe what else surprising us was the salad - the salad dressing is some kind of peanut butter sauce! Yumms..! ;D
-with chicken-
-with prawn-

For bread kind of meal, u can choose either in the form of taco or burger.
The enormous size of this bulgogi beef taco was astonishing! ;O
Worth try!!!

What made me having great enthusiasm in trying at the first sight was the rice burger. It shapes like a normal burger, but it is made of grilled rice bun! =)
Bibi rice burger - Grilled chicken breast & mixed vege with sesame bibi sauce.
I love the crispy texture of the grilled rice bun.

As Namoo is not famous for their pasta, there are only a few choices that look rather simple.
Carbonara with sliced beef bacon on Linguini pasta.
After all, Namoo's signature dishes aren't the abovementioned ones. =D Its designated dishes are the galbi ribs, stewed ginseng chicken, and seafood pancake, which are pricey. For small eater, u can order only a salad/soup, or their snacks. Hmm i might try the King's Ttuk Bok Gi as it arouse my interest in the way that the rice cakes are with mozzarella cheese hehe..

All the way mentioning about food, what beverages does Namoo serve???

As norms, coffees are served, as well as tea. If u opt for a lighter beverage after a heavy meal, u can have their Namoo lemonade. The different beverages that Namoo have are those Korean specialty drinks & what caught my attention were the sweet potato latte and multi-grain honey latte.
For Earl Grey tea lover! =)
Hot chocolate
Hot cappuccino
Namoo lemonade - refreshing!
Yuza tea - tastes like citrus
Sweet potato latte - Taste like a combination of milk with sweet potato. xD
Of course, u could have warm water for free..

Moving to their desserts, Namoo serves both hot & cold desserts. For the hot ones, they have pancake, cookie, and soup with sticky rice. The cold ones comprise of their signature King's Bing Soo - basically is the shredded ice topped with fruits, ice cream, multi-grain powder. It is expensive but normal only. For their cakes, they highly recommend the sweet potato cake, otherwise the pumpkin cake. Both are very full but healthy, as they aim for a lighter taste of cakes.
U can see that they did not stingy for the ingredients used in
producing the sweet potato cake. SUPER PO-TA-TO-ish!
But it is too full to have it all, especially after the main meal. =/
Eating it with the ice cream would taste better, not so greasy! =)

So, food lovers, stop by & try Namoo when u have a chance to Publika
