吃好点 Dim Sum Yum Cha @ Kuchai Avenue

Siew Mai, Lao Sa Bao, Chu Cheong Fun...

Dim Sum Yum Cha (A.K.A. 好吃点) is a new place for us to have our Chinese traditional dim sum session. It is located at Kuchai Avenue, which is a new building opposite Kuchai Lama Snowflakes.

This dim sum restaurant brought me back to the Chinese New Year feel on my first visit. It is decorated 'reddish' with all the CNY decorations.

What are the differences of this dim sum place with the others?

1. Food items are ticked on a paper to order, unlike others that push the trolleys around for us to select.
2. More inordinary/special dim sum are available.
3. Tea is to be "self-serviced".
Tea pots & tea leaves are available on the shelf. We need to mix it
ourselves with appropriate amount of tea leaves & boiled water.

The menu has a wide varieties of dimsum, and there are some unique ones. For instance, the wasabi dragon rolls, lion beard balls, and chu cheong fun that comes in different kinds of flavours like miso tempura & chicken floss+seaweed.

Dim sum served are nice & appetising. However, the bad thing we found out was that their food quality varies, ie. delicious only when there is less customers. =S
Custard bun - Chinese calls it 'lao sa bao', quite a lot of custard
but would be better if there is more salted egg york sauce added.
Fried yam taro - a bit tasteless, don't know was it due to
the reduced quality on a busy weekend? hmm..
Ham sui kwok - Yummy crispy skin with its salted fillings.
But I had one bad experience on having it super flaccid. ><
Fried turnip cake - a.k.a. lo bak gou.
Stir fried nicely, but this has added more chili - spicier.
Mango crispy pouch - Prawns coated with fried crispy pouch,
serving along with mango sauce.
Siew mai - not bad, but still..
can't beat those in my hometown hehe.. =D
Steam beancurd rolls
Chu cheong fun in miso tempura flavour - this is mouth-watering
as it is special with its tempura fillings & miso sauce.

What else makes us unforgettable in this place???
- The laurel blossom cake
Guai fa gou with refreshing jelly texture & nice flower smell!
The best dessert to wrap up our nice dim sum session hehe...

Upon paying, AEON card members could show their member cards to enjoy 10% off on ala-carte menu with minimum spending above RM50 nett. Customers that park their cars in the basement parking could get free item within specific price range as well.

吃好点 Dim Sum Yum Cha is definitely worth a try as it serves nice dim sum with reasonable price. I have paid only less than RM15 for every visit here, yet I consumed quite a lot of food. The only thing that need to be improved is the reduced food quality on packed hours.
How can u resist the calling from Dim Sum? xD

Hohoho.. Since we were already at Kuchai Lama, how could we miss out visiting the next station for our cold dessert??? xD
Here we go! The flower pot from Food Talk..
