Sisters Dessert @ Damansara Jaya

Tong Sui & Kuih-muih..

Sisters Dessert has recently resumed its business in a shoplot in Damansara Jaya, nearby to the Hong Kong dim sum restaurant, Jin Xuan. Previously, it was operated in a food stall at Taman Megah.

The new shoplot is pretty clean and neat, with a better environment for the customers to enjoy their homemade desserts.

Sisters Dessert sells varieties of Malaysian's favourite kuih-muih, as well as nasi lemak, economic fried meehoon, and some other home-cooked dishes.
Their food is cheap and reasonable.

Upon their opening ceremony on the 31st of May, they offered all their desserts to be dined in @ RM1 only. We were tempted by this but prior to its operating hour, which is opened from 11am to 6pm only (Rach needs to work la ><), we could not make it. Haha, but.. nevermind for those who are working, you still can dine in on any Saturday, as their normal price isn't expensive though. =P

So, on the second day it commenced its business, I went there with my another two friends for our proper lunch. Oops..don't be shocked by the food consumed by three girls, we are greedy eaters! xP
The fried chicken is fried to the perfect golden-brown complexion, crispy and nice!
Similarly to their fried fish ball, unconsciously brought back my high school memories, when I used to always bought it from my school canteen during recess time! ;D

Fried meehoon, and bitter gourd chicken.

The kuih-muih sss...
The 7-layered kuih we used to eat in Lido market, but this was so so only. =/

The glutinous rice ball (the so-called 'hak lon da fun' in my hometown.. xD)
This was nice as the glutinous rice (a.k.a. mochi) is 'elastic',
nice to chew and not stickjaw.

I love the peanuts with sugar wrapped inside, they were savoury and crispy! x)

Of course, we did not miss out trying their dessert soup (tong sui)..
The black glutinous rice soup has plenty of glutinous rice,
but i prefer it to be more undiluted.

The gingko barley soup has nice barley and gingko nuts,
it would be better with some fu chuk as well! hehe..

The red bean soup would be nicer if it is more concentrated too.. ;)

Sisters Dessert offers simple food, but 'simple' is its attracting point as we can have some usual home-cooked food and desserts here - to eat healthier! xD For my next visit, I would like to try their yam cake and bubur chacha hehe..

It was quite a budgeted lunch for us as we spent only less than RM10 for these per person. Thereof, it is suitable for anyone who desires to eat economically, as u can get some rice with dishes here just like in other 'zap fan' stalls, additionally with some kuih-muih and dessert soup to complement ur meal of the day!
