Hearted in the industrial area of Bandar Sri Damansara, BEAM turns out to be a successful cafe business despite of its insignificant location.
The team has put great attempt in evolving this place into an extraordinary one. From the exterior bricks wall, up to the interior factory setting, every single detail was done with their considerable attention.
Furthermore, BEAM is well furnished with all the antique items. Coffee apparatus that sold and displayed on the table and racks recall the memories of my high school science lab. xD
The upper level design reminded me of the Garage51...
...and this reminded me of the BEAST restaurant. xP
Merely from the setting, BEAM has done its very first step towards the success,
ie. to provide a nice ambiance that would retain loyal customers.
Besides than that, BEAM sells fresh pre-roasted coffee beans from different varieties.
Coffee are freshly brewed in BEAM using their selections of premium beans. Even local favourite kopi O and teh O could be found here.
Only a few choices of hot food are served here.
Nonetheless, BEAM serves a wider range of desserts for the sweet tooth. ;D
1) Local ang ku kuih & real banana cake
BEAM's homemade kaya spread is available for sale too.
For the coffee, the taste is strong enough with slight milkier texture.
For those who couldn't take caffeine, keep to the hot lemon tea. =P
The "bakar" smell is all over the cafe, implying that Roti Beam (roti bakar + butter + kaya + almonds) is their best seller.
However, we opt for the panini. Crunchy panini is sandwiched with juicy roasted chicken, cheese that melts together with the sauce, making it a more delectable panini.
Ang ku kueh with mung bean wrapped with soft sticky glutinous rice flour skin.
Crunchy cheese tart topped with freshly picked blueberries, yummy!
This is my favourite amongst the desserts - matcha coffee cheese cake.
The cheesecake is very soft and not over-sweet, contributed by the slight bitterness of matcha and coffee powder. Sweet red beans are added on top, perfectly balance off the bitterness. Moreover, BEAM uses oreo biscuits as the bottom base instead of digestive biscuits, further enhance the entire cheesecake! ♥♥♥
BEAM is a very warm cafe with welcoming environment. Nice coffee and dessert could be grabbed here, and most importantly, is the moment that you can spend here with your precious ones.
