Mitasu @ Central Plaza

Japanese Ala Carte Buffet..

Mitasu locating in Central Plaza, nearby Pavilion, KL is a Japanese ala carte buffet styled restaurant.

Mitasu costs us RM56.90 each for its ala carte buffet, subjected to additional 10% service charge. Others than that, there are value lunch sets on the weekdays only.
Ala carte buffet menu in 2 pages only,
simple but of wide varieties.
Value set lunch: Mon-Fri 11.30am-3pm only.

Reservation is preferable as it is always full house.

Fresh sashimi is available here and u could order as much as u can. But bare in mind that every 100g of wastage will be charged for RM10. x'D
Sashimi including the salmon, butter fish, tuna fish, and half grilled tuna fish.

For those who could not take any raw fish, the grilled ones would be better.
Grilled green mussel cod roe is delicious with
its slight burning taste.
Saba fish with crispy skin.
Too bad that the salmon fish head is out of stock! =(

Otherwise, there are wider selections for the teppanyaki meat. The teppanyaki serving here is cooked with butter instead of the cooking oil, thereof better in taste and smell.
Tasty squid butteryaki with great texture and seasoning.
Beef butteryaki
Chicken butteryaki
Sweet salmon teriyaki
Garlic fried rice

Of course, the cold cuts are the compulsory stuff to get in every Japanese restaurant, especially for the buffet styled's.
Fresh oysters and tiger prawns given in generous amount.
Oyster is a bit lack of the sweetness though.
Seasoned jelly fish, baby octopus, and seaweed is appetising.
Chuka kurage, chuka lidako, chuka wakame
Edamame for some itchy bites. =P

Deep fried stuff such as deep fried prawn, squid tentacles, and scallop could be obtained here.
Shishamo is very big in size! hehe..
Deep fried breaded chicken cutlet comes with mayonnaise sauce.

Some healthy greens to balance the portion of meat and vege. xP
Assorted vegetables salad

Smoked duck salad
Sashimi salad

Moreoever, hotpot of soup in sukiyaki style would be good to complement the entire meal.
Niku sukiyaki with great amount of beef slices and vege.
The soup is nice and sweet.

Besides than these, there are maki, sushi, temaki, tempura, noodles, as well as donburi. Prior to the limited space in our stomach to fit all these more filling stuff, we did not order them. x'P

Aftermeal fruits and desserts like cake, jelly, and ice cream to end up the feast! ;D
Watermelon
Ice cream is available in vanilla, chocolate,
black sesame, strawberry, and green tea flavours.
But.. too bad that they aren't Haagen Daaz. x'D

Generally, it was a great dining experience in Mitasu as we could get all the delicious fresh stuff in our desired portion. Besides than that, we do not need to walk around and queue for the food like how we did in other Japanese buffet, as we are being served like kings and queens here! hehe...

Coffee Amo @ TTDI

3D Coffee Art

Coffee Amo located along Jalan Sultan in Petaling Street, KL has been popular for its 3D coffee art. Recently, they have commenced the second branch in TTDI, on the upper level of Shinjuku.

Coffee Amo in TTDI branch is spacious, cosy and peaceful. You could get out of the city hastiness chilling here, sipping your cup of coffee while relaxing on the comfy seat.

Antique kind of furnitures bringing us back to the ancient times of Chinatown.
Photos snapped on their 3D coffee arts
are hanging around the ceiling.

Menu is available on the counter where you order your food and beverages.
Food menu
Dessert menu
Beverages menu

Others than the brewing coffees and tea, there are ready-to-serve bottled drinks.
Bottled juice & sparkling water

Dripper and syphon are available here but not sure if they make one with it, or merely for the decoration purpose. xD

Nevertheless, they have well illustrated the proportion of coffee beans required to produce a specialty coffee.

Coffee pricing is standard, only for the signature coffees which come with complimentary 3D coffee art are priced slightly expensive.
Latte @ RM10
Coconut latte @ RM13
Coffee here is lacking of the fragrance and caffeine, kind of disappointment.

Homemade cakes are sold at RM10 each.
Rum and raisin cheese cake - taste is ok,
but texture is yet to be improved.
Looking forward to a softer and smoother one.

Despite the not-so-satisfying food and drinks, the environment is quite impressing. Coffee Amo in TTDI is a very comfy place to stay up long. Furthermore, those cute and adorable wall arts could definitely cheer your day up instantly. ;P
Coffee + Cream + Sugar = Perfection

Inspiring equation
Now i know snoopy takes caffeine. =P

Generally, I think "arts" is the reason Coffee Amo is famous for.

Featuring in news..

Coffee Amo is worth a visit if you are opting for a cheerful cup of 3D coffee art, as the price is still acceptable. For a decent coffee desire, frankly I would not visit it anymore though.
