Key Hiong Dim Sum @ Taman Megah

Neighbourhood's pick..

Albeit there are plenty of famous dim sum places around Klang Valley, there are still nice dim sum shops available around every neighbourhood. Opposite SS24 Taman Megah's Ming Tien food court, Key Hiong Dim Sum has been operating for many years and still, survives prosperously.
Key Hiong Dim Sum is always the favourite pick for those who stay around the neighbourhood of Damansara Jaya. It is opened from early in the morning, thus many DJ-ians would love to have their breakfast here before heading to work. To fit the crowd during peak hours, there is air-conditioned area upstairs.

Instead of having the normal traditional tea... =P
Teh C
Iced milo for hot weather.. xP

Nice garlic chilli sauce to dip with the food. ;D

Common stuff that we could get in every dim sum place..
Succulent siew mai
Besides than the normal siew mai, there are others that are much the same.

For eg, the century egg added siew mai
Steamed pork ribs are juicily marinated with the black bean sauce.
Just a normal fishball.
But "yu dan" lovers will still love it.
Nah, not so fancy of chicken feet,
but many people still love it though.
Similarly, braised with the black bean sauce.
Lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice, average only.
One of my favourite here - deep fried shrimp dumpling.
Shrimp is juicily fried up to the perfect golden brown layer.
The crispiness is just nice, best to dip with the mayo sauce.
Another favourite of mine here - "wu kok".
Deep fried yam has very crispy outer layer,
but what makes it nicer is the char siew fillings
that are flavourfully marinated.

Furthermore, Key Hiong Dim Sum is well-known for its steamed buns.
Their best seller is the char siew pao.
From my point of view, this is prior to their marinated char siew,
which is full of flavours, delicious, juicy, and tender.
(Upper one) Red wine chicken bun 红酒醉鸡包
is the special bun selling here. The chicken meat filling
is marinated with their specialised sauce, tasty yet juicy.

(Lower one) They don't have the traditional lau sar pao,
but this is the most identical one, with the yellow butter
sauce fillings, just lacking of the egg york sauce.

Last but not least, Key Hiong Dim Sum's big bun "dai pao" is one of the best I had. A super big bun filled with marinated pork, garlic, onion, and hard boiled egg. Despite it is huge in size, it is still very juicy inside. Every bite is very flavourful, and you could see the juice is spilling out. This is my best choice to take away with when I am in a rush, but don't want to miss my breakkie.

Key Hiong Dim Sum has above average dim sum, still has a lot of room for improvement to become the best though. What I probably love about their food is their marinated stuff as all the meat are well seasoned, full of flavours, and taste even mouthwatering.
